Beating Holiday Stress--And Stress In General
We had a great turnout last March when we ran a program featuring Life and Wellness Coach Denise Lewis. She will be rejoining us on November 14 at 7:00 PM in the Library Annex with a program on "Beating Holiday Stress." Do you dread the upcoming holidays more than you look forward to them? This program may be just right for you.
In this workshop you will learn how to avoid and reduce stress to prepare yourself for the hectic holidays that are upon us. Denise will show you ways to encourage relaxation and improve your health by learning to change your thoughts and behaviors and through simple breathing and stretching exercises (any level), meditation instruction with progressive muscle relaxation, a guided visualization, and a journaling session.
And of course, the program will have more general applications in the area of stress reduction as well.
