Hyde Park Free Library Young Readers
Hyde Park Free Library Young Readers
Mandala created for an art sculpture class by Lindsay Taylan, a senior, at F. D. Roosevelt High School.
Diane Schaeffer is the art instructor.
Young Readers of the Hyde Park Free Library is a group started by Pat Joel,
a retired teacher from the Hyde Park School District and Friend of the Library,
along with Greg Callahan, Library Director.
Students meet at the library to discuss various readings.
Some suggested readings include books about Tibet, Mandalas, Mastodons and Mammoths,
or others suggested by the young readers.
If you are interested in joining the group, contact Pat or Greg at the library, 229.7791.
Thanks to the Mid-Hudson Teachers Center and
Dutchess BOCES, an electronic caucus has been made available to create a new dimension to reading group discussions.
Members of the Mid-Hudson LIbrary System are also actively involved to help in this project.
